Albury Zone AFL Gala Day

On Wednesday the 22nd of May the U’15s Boys AFL team travelled to Xavier High School’s  oval in Albury to compete in the Albury Zone Gala Day.
The boys played three games against Corowa High, Albury High, and Murray High Schools. After  taking  a  hard  fought win against Corowa in slippery conditions early, the boys carried their confidence into an important clash with Albury High School. Billabong’s defence were able to hold Albury to just 2 points while Joseph Muller starred up forward kicking two goals. Billabong remained undefeated against Murray High in the last game of the day with Lachlan Knobel kicking 6 goals being a highlight. Best players on the day were Samuel Male, Nicholas Newton, Nathan Wardius, Joseph Muller and Mitchell Way. The boys will now play against St. Pauls College, a date and venue to be confirmed.
